1952 Aston Martin Lagonda Drop Head
The major focus currently at the shop is the reconstruction of a rare 1952 Aston Martin Lagonda Drop Head. Rumor has it.this is one of thirteen still remaining. The Drop Head has a hand made body out of aluminum that is attached to a wood buck which remains in the car when finished.
This car demands a great amount of research to rebuild this vehicle because there is a limited amount of information and parts available for this car. Most of the damaged and worn out parts have been duplicated by machining or fabricating by hand just like the original parts.
The original frame has been straightened and rebuilt better than original standards. A 3.0L inline six with dual overhead cams and dual side draft carburetors will power the Lagonda. Approximately 70% of this car is built from scratch. Browse the detailed photos demonstrating many materials including: wood, steel, brass, and aluminum to complete this rare Concours reconstruction.
